Traumatic cataract: an indication for the vitreoretinal surgeon

Synopsis: To show the difficulties in the preoperative evaluation of eyes with lens trauma and demonstrate the advantages of and potential problems with various treatment options.

Objective: To enable surgeons making the correct preoperative and intraoperative decisions when treating patients with traumatic cataract and to facilitate early visual rehabilitation.
