Artisan lenses in the treatment of traumatic aphakia

Purpose: The study of ARTIZAN lenses for the treatment of metatraumatic afakia.

Material - Methods: Seven patients suffering from metatraumatic afakia underwent iris supported ARTIZAN lenses implantation for their ametropia correction.

Results: In the present study we describe our remarks and the advantages of the ARTIZAN implantation in traumatic afakia cases.

Conclusion: ARTIZAN lenses consist a safe, efficient and practical method for the matatraumatic afakia correction.
