RETINOTOMY FOR SEVERE PVR RETINAL DETACHMENT

This video presents cases of severe PVR retinal detachment treated with 180-3600 retinotomy and retinectomy. In some cases location of retinotomy was posterior to the equator. However this agressive method of treatment should be restricted to very severe cases, the obtained results show that this can be a useful method in selected cases. This technique was also combined with simultaneouscataract removal and intraocular lens implantation.
