VITREOUS SURGERY WITH THE USE OF TRYPAN BLUE STAINING FOR PVR RETINAL DETACHMENT

This video presents vitreous surgery for different stages of PVR retinal detachment. The use of trypan blue staining improves the visualisation of epiretinal membranes, ILM and remnants of the vitreous. This allows to improve both the quality of surgery and results. The video presents the use of that method not only during vitreous surgery but also in cases of phacoemulsification of the lens and intraocular lens implantation combined with vitreous surgery.
